Last weekend, the beach was alive with energy, inspiration, and an incredible sense of community as we hosted our very first Young Bloods Camp in collaboration with Duotone, followed by a celebratory launch party to mark our exciting new partnership. Here’s a full recap of the action-packed weekend:
Young Bloods Camp: Inspiring the Next Generation
The Young Bloods Camp, led by Duotone pros Lewis Crathern and Tom Court, brought together a group of passionate young riders eager to learn, connect, and push their limits in the sport.
Pro-Level Inspiration
Lewis and Tom shared their personal journeys to becoming professional kitesurfers, offering invaluable advice on training, setting goals, and navigating the competitive world of kitesurfing. For many of the Young Bloods, it was a chance to meet their heroes and get firsthand insights into what it takes to succeed.
Beach Clean
Demonstrating that being a kitesurfer isn’t just about riding, the group participated in a beach clean to give back to the environment we all depend on. It was a great reminder of the importance of protecting our playground for future generations.
Pilates at The Wave
Keeping things fun and functional, the camp included a pilates session at The Wave with local pilates expert Dani Mansbridge. This unique activity highlighted the importance of flexibility and core strength, which are vital for improving performance on the water.
Gear Showcase
The beach was transformed into a watersports enthusiast’s dream, with a display of the latest Duotone gear — wings, windsurf boards, and kites. Attendees had the chance to explore the cutting-edge equipment and see what’s shaping the future of the sport.
Duotone Launch Party: A Celebration of Community
As the day turned to evening, the watersports community came together to celebrate the official launch of our collaboration with Duotone. The restaurant was filled with riders, enthusiasts, and industry professionals, all enjoying the opportunity to connect over a shared love of watersports. From seasoned pros to first-time kitesurfers, the atmosphere was electric.
Prizes and Giveaways
A big thank you to Sam at Worthing Watersports for sponsoring some amazing prizes and to Woo for contributing to the WOO prize pool. The giveaways added an extra layer of excitement to the evening, and there were plenty of smiles as winners took home their rewards.
What’s Next?
This weekend marked the beginning of something special, and we’re already looking forward to what’s coming next. Keep an eye on our socials for updates, as we’re hoping to organise a windy demo day soon, where you can test out the latest Duotone gear for yourself.
A Big Thank You
None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our hosts, sponsors, and participants. From the Young Bloods who brought their energy and passion to the pros who shared their expertise and stories, everyone played a part in making this weekend unforgettable.
