Start your kitesurfing journey with our 2-hour Beginner Kitesurfing Lesson in Littlehampton — the best way to learn to kitesurf safely, confidently and progressively. This session is ideal for complete beginners, riders stepping up from our Intro to Kitesurfing, and those with some previous experience who want to get back on the water.
Each lesson is tailored to your experience.
If you’ve already completed our Intro to Kitesurfing, we’ll head straight to the water. If not, we’ll begin on land, covering the essential foundations before progressing into the sea when you’re ready.
Led by our friendly, BKSA-qualified instructors, this session focuses on real progression — building the skills and confidence you need to move from first kite control to your first board starts.
During this 2-hour beginner lesson, your instructor will adapt the session to your level, covering key skills such as:
Kite control and power management
Understanding wind direction, wind window and safety zones
Equipment setup, rigging and pre-flight checks
Using safety systems correctly and confidently
Body dragging in all directions to build control and awareness
Board handling and preparation for board starts
Your first board starts as kite control improves
This session is designed to move you forward efficiently while keeping things safe, relaxed and enjoyable.

Anyone progressing from our Intro to Kitesurfing session
